Dennis Griffin, a photographer for 35 years, is a native of Southern California. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mr. Griffin founded Studio Griffoto in 2007 to market his fine art imagery. His award winning work spans more than three decades and encompasses nature and landscape photography, form photography, travel photography and digital imaging. Griffin’s prize-taking work includes “Schloss Neuschwanstein, Bavaria” - awarded Best of Show in the Westlake Village Art Guild Members Show, 2009; “Arancione 2, Carnevale 2008, Venice” - awarded Best of Show at the 2008 Wide Open Photography & Digital Art Show, Thousand Oaks; and among 55 vendors, his work was awarded “Best of Show” at the Thousand Oaks Art Festival, 2008.

Mr. Griffin’s unique style and eye for composition are clearly reflected throughout the broad scope of his images captured in California, Hawaii and other parts of the United States, as well as France, Germany, and Italy. To quote the artist: “I have always been fascinated by the interplay of color, design, and the magical effects of light and reflections. From the early days working in darkrooms smelling of acetic acid to the present using the immaculate technology of inkjet printers, my goal of making artful images has remained unchanged…to utilize the elements of light, color and design to create unique images of beauty in various subjects.”

Dennis Griffin self-publishes high quality, fine art photography books including: Carnevale 2008 included images captured during the festival of Carnival in Venice Italy, depicting spectacular images of varied subjects from elaborately decorated store windows to models and participants with brilliantly colored costumes. Ciao Venezia includes color & black and white images and computer graphics from visits to Italy. Griffin states “Venice is my photographic paradise and this book is my tribute to her.” Griffin’s other books include Favorites of Florence; The Magic of Italy; Carnevale 2008: Collector’s Edition; and Carnevale 2009: Faces and Fantasies.
